Matthew K. Eckert is an attorney running for Jefferson District Court Judge Division 3. He is a former District Court Judge who presided for twenty years before serving five years as a Senior Status Judge in Jefferson and its surrounding counties.

Judge Eckert was an Assistant Jefferson County Attorney and a Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff for ten years prior to his election to the bench in 1989.

He and his wife Dana are raising three children and spend their time attending soccer, basketball, lacrosse and field hockey practices and games.
